I get close to mbps down, and 35mbps up with my mbps package, wheras Shaw offers 2. I'd take them more seriously if they offered say, 1gbps down and mbps up, something They are so stuck in the past with their upload speeds, I'll never consider switching back.

I thought Shaw would do another Free Speed bump infrastructure increase like they did last time: to , to So if Shaw is releasing 10Mbps plans, are they cutting back on selling internet to smaller companies such as TekSavvy? Is this true? I have not seen any announcement about this on Shaw's web-site. Later today, I will contact Shaw, to get updated. I am sure that those smaller companies would complain to the CRTC if Shaw were to try to limit their competition from those companies.

I also migrated from Shaw, due to frustrations over some channels not being available in HD. I held on hoping for several years and finally gave up.
It appears that now, more than a year later, they still do not offer a time shifted high definition PBS channel. My only regret is that I didn't make the switch to Telus sooner. I'm impressed with the Guide and some offerings in 4K, which makes sense because 4K sets are flying off the shelves in stores, and that will only increase toward Christmas and with Boxing Day sales.
I have noticed that the channel changing is lighting fast on the wireless boxes, but its laggy on the PVR box. I think I read somewhere that a firmware update recently bogged it down??? Overall I am very pleased with the Optik TV platform and how things are laid out.
