Sony have prediced that they'll sell 10 million Vita's this year which is a solid number, but based on existing sales we have to expect something to happen in the next 9 months to make that happen, either a price cut or plenty of games.
Probably both. Doom mongerers, handheld gaming consoles are incredibly popular I think it wasn't a complete flop, but viewed as a very mediocre performer. Not sure if Sony lost money on it. Think the vita has always been destined to be a flop DS family has some must have games that are iconic and I think it's the only manufacturer that can exist alongside the mobile phone industry, Pokemon, mario prop it up tbh. The screen was smaller but the resolution a bit better so that didn't concern me, what did concern me was how goddamn small the thing was.
Now, I don't have massive hands, they're probably just average sized, if not a bit smaller, but holding the Go for anything longer than half an hour was agonising. I ended up using it to play through a few of the original Playstation games and then it sat in a drawer collecting dust. Which funnily enough is exactly what my Vita is doing, though that's more due to the lack of proper games.
